So, I love Reader's Digest.  I'm not afraid to admit that.  My dad and I used to fight over who got to read them first.  I'll still thumb through them in supermarket checkout lines and every so often snag one from the office waiting room at work to read while eating lunch.  It's filled with the silliest nonsensical news and the jokes aren't funny but something still draws me to the tiny slices of humanity like "7 can't miss paint colors" and "America's dumbest lawsuits."  I happened to grab last month's issue which was, as always, full of bland humor-in-uniform and uninspiring memoirs, but reading a quick article entitled "10 of the most irritating phrases in English" completely made my day.
